Rotary World Peace Fellowships
The District 5450 World Peace Committee is accepting nominations for two exciting initiatives. Each year, Rotary funds some of the world’s most dedicated and brightest professionals to study at the Rotary Peace Centers. Eligibility requirements and other details are available at the Rotary Peace Fellowship Application.
Initiatives
Master’s Degree Fellowship
- Duration: Two years
- Focus: World peace and international conflict resolution
- Locations: Six locations worldwide
- Candidates: Up to 50 selected worldwide
- Eligibility: Scholar applicants may not attend universities in their home countries
Certificate Program
- Duration: One year (replacing the previous three-month program)
- Locations:
- Rotary Center at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand
- Rotary Peace Center at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda (first peace center in Africa)
- Candidates: Only applicants living or working in the region may apply; 40 candidates annually per center (two 20-person course groups)
- Focus: Professional development certificate program of interactive study focused on peace and conflict resolution
- Content: New and expanded program content beginning with the selectees of 2021

How Rotarians Can Help
Individual Rotarians and clubs may participate in the scholarship process by:
- Identifying and sponsoring candidates
- Publicizing the program throughout their professional and academic networks
Sources of qualified candidates include:
- Local colleges and universities
- Government agencies
- Former international volunteers
- Mediation, arbitration, and dispute resolution groups
- Former Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar and Group Study Exchange alumni
