DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S AWARDS
The District Governor’s Awards are selected by the District Governor who may call for nominations from Rotary clubs. If you have a nomination suggestion, please email DG Cindy Rold a short write-up about the person/Club you would like to nominate and why you feel they deserve the award. Please copy office@rotary5450.org on your email to ensure the District Governor receives your nomination. Nominations must be received by August 1 and cover the previous Rotary year of July 1 through June 30.
2024-2025 DISTRICT GOVERNOR AWARD WINNERS
Rotarian of the Year - this year we proudly honor two individuals whose leadership, dedication and creativity have stood out during the 2024-2025 Rotary year.
- Jolene McKenna (Erie RC) - Co-Chair, District 5450 Membership Committee
- Debbie Setlock (Longmont RC) - Co-Chair, District 5450 Membership Committee
Paul Harris Award of Excellence - the bust of our founder, Paul Harris, is presented annually to the club that best meets the goals of both the Rotary International President and the District Governor. This rotating award honors a single club's exceptional efforts during the Rotary year.
- Broomfield Crossing Rotary Club - with 30 members and growing, this club is engaged in many impactful service projects and is a shining example of Rotary in action and service above self.
Distinguished Service Award
- Dick Castleman (University Hills RC) - served as District 5450 Treasurer and Foundation/Grants Treasurer from 2004 to 2025
- Elaine Love (Castle Rock RC) - served on District Foundation Committee as Paul Harris Society Chair from 2014 to 2025
District Service Award for Excellence
- Ray Anderson (Highlands Ranch RC) - Education & Learning Chair
- Cheryl O'Brien (Parker RC) - served as Youth Services Chair from 2021 to 2025
Four-Way Test Award
- Jean Chernosky, District 5450 Treasurer (Littleton RC) - presented to a Rotarian who exemplifies the principles of the Four-Way Test
Governors Discretionary Award
- Steve Werner (Denver Southeast RC) - for exceptional support of the District Governor's initiatives, and for his key role as 2024-2025 District Conference Committee Special Liaison
Significant Contribution to Those in Need Award
- Deborah Hage (Summit County RC) - Summit County Community Dinners
Special Recognition Award
- Bev Mendel, District Operations Manager (Carbon Valley RC) - in recognition of her invaluable guidance, oversight, and partnership throughout the 2024-2025 Rotary year
