Russell Gleason New Project Award
For: The outstanding new club project initiated during the current Rotary year (formerly the Scott Metcalf New Project Award)
Type: Traveling trophy and individual plaque.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: August 1
Rules: 1. Any project eligible within at least one of RI's Areas of Focus and initiated during the current Rotary year.
2. The project will be judged solely by the information presented and based on the display in the Club Exhibit Hall at the District Conference. A complete description of the club project must be submitted to the Lakewood Foothills Club by May 1.
History: Named for Russell Gleason who was the President of the Rotary Club of Lakewood Foothills in 1981/1982 and Governor of District 5450 in 1992/1993. This award is given to the District 5450 Rotary Club that has initiated a significant new project that had results during the past Rotary Year. The project must fall within one of Rotary International’s Seven Causes.
