the late Edwin A. Bemis, long-time editor/publisher of the Littleton

Districts 5440, 5450 & 5470.

History: The award was established by the Lakewood Foothills Club and honors the
memory of Scott Metcalf, Sr., past DG of District 5300 and former member
of the Lakewood Foothills Club who best depicted Rotary’s motto "Service
Above Self". The award was redefined in 1989 to recognize best ‘new’
club project for the yr.

Traveling trophy.
Rules: Criteria to be established by the District Governor each year to weigh the
R.I. President’s and DG’s goals for the year. Nominations are to be sent to the District
Governor no later than March 15 each Rotary year.
History: Established in 1984 by PDG George E. Mendenhall who commissioned George
Staneseu, a member of the Littleton Rotary Club and int
ernationally known
sculptor to create a bust of Paul Harris.

Presidential
Citation
For: A Rotary International
presidential challenge has been issued for Rotary clubs to use the personal
efforts of their members to serve others as part of a balanced club effort.
Clubs will receive the Rotary
International Presidential Presidential Citation
based on their number of accomplishments (determined by club size) within each
of the Four Avenues of Service. Type: Presidential
Citation certificate signed by R.I. President. Rules: Deadline for determining these awards is
April 15 of the current Rotary year. History: Established in 1993 by R.I. President Cliff Dochterman.

Significant
Achievement Award
For:
The club in the district responsible for a project which addresses a significant
need in the community. The project should involve most or all of the club
membership in
personal rather than
monetary service. The project should be duplicatable by Rotary clubs elsewhere.
Type: The
Significant Achievement Award will be prepared in Evanston and sent to the
District Governor for presentation at the District Conference.
Rules:
Notice of Award criteria will be sent to all club presidents by the District
