Outbound Peace Corps Volunteer seeks to collaborate with Rotary while serving in Paraguay

As a Masters International student, I will be completing my degree while serving in Peace Corps Paraguay this coming May.  Once again I have found a serendipitous connection with Rotary, this time right here in Colorado.

The Rotary Peace Corps Alliance has presented itself as an excellent opportunity to partner with both Colorado and local Paraguayan clubs to accomplish my upcoming endeavors in international service
.

For like minded individuals and organizations, partnerships such as the Rotary - Peace Corps Alliance can only strengthen the reach of international service delivery.  For outbound volunteers like myself, the prospect of having US support in conjunction with in-country partners is key to establishing meaningful community relationships and viable service projects.  For Colorado or US based Rotary clubs, supporting an outgoing volunteer means having an international representative on-the-ground to facilitate international service projects.

The Rotary-Peace Corps Alliance provides a platform for exciting opportunities in international collaboration between two organizations that strive to accomplish meaningful work in international and community development.  Your club has the opportunity to identify a current or outgoing Peace Corps volunteer (PCV) in 139 different countries.  As for myself, I hope to partner with both a Colorado Rotary club and with a club in Paraguay to more effectively approach my assignment as a community economic development volunteer.
