Winners are Announced!

The 2016 District Conference survey results are in and compiled. The Survey Response Rate (Total Responses/Total District Rotarians) was 17%.  According to DGE Kevin O’Connell, “For a first time effort, this is a very acceptable response rate.”

In addition to the hard stats, over 20 pages of comments and responses of details were compiled. O’Connell states,  “Trust me; every single comment has been read and they form an integral component of what we have learned from each of you and what will be utilized regarding the 2016 District Conference location, duration, format, content and pricing/cost.”

There is very much a common thread in the static survey responses, the majority of the write-in comments and responses including the compilation from the attendees of the 2014 conference. The demographics of the survey respondents regarding age and gender is directly correlated with the demographics of the total membership of District 5450. An interesting fact is that 36% of the on-line survey respondents were new Rotarians (1-5 years in Rotary), 32% have been in Rotary 6-15 years and the remaining 32% have been in Rotary 16 years or more.

The Prize Drawing occurred the Friday evening at the Zone 27 District Leadership Institute Dinner; DG for D5450 Peter Ewing picked the lucky winners.  Here are the results:

1st Prize –  Barbara Setliffe, Aurora Gateway Rotary Club, Fully Paid Registration for one at the 2016 District Conference
2nd Prize – Wayne Smith, Lakewood Rotary Club, One Free Room Night at the 2016 District Conference
3rd Prize    Bo Chapin, Brush Rotary Club, $75 credit toward your hotel bill at the 2016 District Conference

DGE O’Connell congratulates and winners and appreciates your feedback and input regarding YOUR 2016 District Conference.

In closing, Kevin wants to share a thought that was gleaned from one of the write-in comments; while taken a bit out of context the thought remains the same "…learning from each other, we all will succeed…"
