Rotarians are encouraged to support polio eradication efforts. Additional ways clubs can raise funds for PolioPlus include:
- Purple Pinkies – encourage your Interact Club to educate students in their school and raise funds
- Restaurant night – secure a local restaurant to give proceeds on a specific night and educate those dining
- Pig Roast – “Pig Out for Polio” – fun social for your members to invite family, friends, neighbors, business acquaintances
- Speakers’ Thank You Gifts – consider a $10 gift to PolioPlus in the speakers’ names
- Skip a meal at Rotary or have a soup meal – a cheaper meal with excess being donated
- Memorial gifts – in honor of a deceased Rotarian, a family member, etc.
- Wine party, pancake breakfast, spaghetti dinner – a Rotary sponsored event to invite and educate others
- Karaoke Night (pay $$ to sing and/or hit a gong) – a great social event
- Jars in businesses ($.60 to vaccinate a child) – great way to involve the community
- Others – use your imagination!
