It brought approximately 100 community members together to make blankets for sick or traumatized children. The LDS Church and Rotary members gathered and prepare fleece and materials for the RCC when 50 more people gathered to finish the project. The blankets were then presented to a representative from Project Linus.

The blankets add a sense of security, warmth and the knowledge that someone cares. This community project not only offered healing to the recipients but to those involved as well.

The Rotary Community Corps (RCC) is a group of special need teens and adults with developmental disabilities ages 16+.  They have been on the receiving end of charity for most of their lives so it was a joy when they were able to give to others. It was a great way to expose the RCC members, families and the community to Rotary.Photos: The photos show Rotarians, Rotary Community Corps, and community volunteers working together making blankets that were donated to the Linus Project.

Over the years, blankets have been given to Columbine High School students, Aurora Theater shooting victims, Shady Hook Elementary students, and victims of natural disasters and unfortunately the list goes on.  If your club would like to get invovled, check Project Linus website for more information.
